How to book the orchestra.

If you would like to book the orchestra for an event, send us a message on the contact page and we can discuss your requirements.

The SPCO are prepared to play for the following events:

Classical Concerts

Praise Events 

Ballet Performances

Musicals

Operas

​

Obviously there are costs involved and that will depend on how many musicians you require and length of run if we are working as a pit orchestra for theatre etc...

​

For classical concerts or praise events we try to provide a full orchestra and the costs involved tend to include: coach hire, train travel (if very long distance), flights (if over seas), accommodation (if the event requires an overnight stay), meals, music hire, printing, conductor's fee, soloists, venue, lighting, sound, piano/organ hire (if required), advertising, miscellaneous costs. The list goes on but with a good fundraising and organising committee it is very possible.

We would recommend that your fundraising and organising committee has the following areas.

• Administration (chairman, treasurer and secretary)

• Advertising (to churches, community and local media)

• Venue (box office, technical arrangements)

• Hospitality (accommodation, transport, catering)

• Fundraising
