David started learning violin at the age of 7, taking advantage of lessons provided by the local music service. At the age of 11 David gained a Music Scholarship to study at Aldridge School, affording him multitudinous opportunities including regular concerts as part of both large ensembles, chamber ensembles and as a soloist. During his time at Aldridge School David studied violin with Gary Doidge. In 2011 David started his studies at Birmingham Conservatoire where his violin tutor is Nic Fallowfield.
