Born in Birmingham, Joshua studied with Suzanne Stanzeleit and Ulla Benz at the Birmingham Conservatoire. During his time there he was Principal Second Violinist of the CBSO Youth Orchestra and Academy, as well as leader of Birmingham Conservatoire’s Symphony Orchestra, Composers Orchestra and Repertoire Orchestra.

 

Joshua gave his first concerto performance at the age of 16, and has since performed in concert halls around the UK such as the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall, as well as in Spain and Estonia.

 

Passionate about chamber music, Joshua is leader of the Auer Quartet, who were selected to open the Birmingham Conservatoire Chamber Music Festival in 2015. He is also an active member of the ALB quartet and trio.
